Hi, How are you? I am a baseball fan who lives in Osaka. Yesterday I went to watch the game in Koshien. Thank you for waving at me. Kanahi May 6 Thank you Yatch for sending the link to Boca's interview on YouTube! May 6 I love SEIBU LIONS! I'm happy Hiram's "SAYONARA " homerun! Naoki May 6 Yesterday BOCA hits GOOD-BYE BASEBALL HOMERUN. He is unbelievable. Like a Spider-man. Yatch April 27 Thank you ,Hiram. I have been a Seibu lionsfan since 1986. Today your 2 homeruns gave us big pleasure. I am surprised your swing speed is very fast. Japanese pitcheres often throw breaking balls and slider balls which changes from strike zone to ball zone. If you can stand the balls, you will succeed in Japan. recently you could have stood. I hope your success. EI IKAWA April 27 Hi , Hiram I'm a big fan of Seibu-Lions and Hiram ! When I saw Hiram's batting at first time,I was very worried. Is Hiram all right? That Japanese baseball can be bad... But, that worried was canceled at once!! This fan of Japanese baseball has already been enchanted by you. Your Beautiful Batting and defence. When you appear, Seibu Stadium get so hyped up!! Two home runs are hit today, and this Seibu fan has spoken that it was good. I look forward to seeing your wonderful play in the future. Tetsuya Kuramochi April 27 It is a great pleasure to have you back in the Seibu Lions team. And Boca has his fans honestly absorbed. Even when you went to play in the minors we never left you and now you are back. Moreover, it appealed to KATAHIRA to go up to one ceam early in BOCA. ..(.. ..laughter..) I am looking forward to an appearance of you today though going to the Seibu dome late after attending a Buddhist service. Yatch March 31 Hello Boca. I am going to watch without fail when Lions plays a game in the Seibu dome. ...the first home run.. congratulations! A nice home run can be said at any time. I was impressed though, when you took it to the bridge. It was very-very-cool, and I was glad to hear you last comment and to hear the "hero" interview. Hereafter, I want to see you play from the beginning of the game. It is a great enjoyment to see you play defense in centerfield. It is really good. I do not forget the day March 30, 2008 through all my life. Yatch March 30 Hi Hiram, This is being sent with mixed feelings. First of all, we are Sacramento River Cat Fans, we enjoyed watching run the field and catch the balls that went your way. Second, you are now in the city that my aunt Taiko lives, lucky you. We have not been to Japan but would would love to visit. We wish a great season and hope you enjoy your stay in beautiful Japan. John and Kathy March 29 Hiram, How do you do? I am Saitama Seibu Lions Fan who lives in Tokyo. Did you enjoy your memorable day in the game today? Great job hitting in 3 runs. From now on, Japan is getting warmer and warmer. I expect that you will play an active part in the team. Please take care not to injure yourself. Thank you for hitting a wonderful home run. Teruhiro Saga March 24 I met Boca. He is a nice guy exactly I thought. His playing is fantastic, especially outfielding. I went spring training and the exhibition match at Kyoto. And yesterday, I spoke to him after the game. He remembered me !! I'm glad. (Once he gave me autograph at Kyoto station.) This year, I hope his success in Japan. I decided to cheer him and go to stadium many times. Thank you. Tom Kuri March 6 Boca: Espero que te encuentres bien y siga trabajando duro que TU ERES DE LOS BUENOS. Dios te bendiga. Saludos desde Connecticut. TU AMIGO Wilmer Madera Jr. December 16 Dear Hiram How do you do? We're LIONS fans. This website is surprise for us. Next year,LIONS is 30th anniversary. Now We are changing time. Some players are gone and we have a new manager. The LIONS player are too young, starting member's average is 29 years old. You are outfielder.LIONS has good outfielders. They are good at Hit making, running. But a weak point is defence, I think. Ichiro, you know,he is No#1 Japanese player, and his strong throwing called "LASER BEAM".But ours are lacking it .We want you to show special play. We're looking forward to seeing you. By the way...Our team's hometown is Tokorozawa city in Saitama prefecture, next to TOKYO. Most Japanese is kind of you,Japanese meal is good taste,so you don't worry about living in Japan. See you! Tom Kury December 9 Dear Hiram Welcome to SEIBU LIONS. I am a fan of the SEIBU LIONS. I don't want to watch weak LIONS. Please advance to the Japanese championship , and to be a champion! I'm looking forward to see you in the GOODWILL DOME. GoodBye. SUZUKI EIJI December 7 Dear Hiram I'm a fan of Fukuoka SB Hawks (good rival of lions ,originaly lions hometown was Fukuoka). Lions and Hawks are prestigious teams and they are rivals, but we pay our respects each other. In 2007 season, unfortunately Lions were 5th in Pacific league. This is worst in last 20 years. I want lions to be strong again and I believe you'll do it! We welcome you at Fukuoka dome and hope your good peformance will bring the Lions victory, except games with hawks. Ted Kobayashi December 5 Dear Hiram, Hello!I'm Japanese and I love SEIBU LIONS.I'm looking forward to see you in Lions stadium soon. Please hit many many homerun!I hope you enjoy to play with us! August 9 HOLA HIRAM ESPERO QUE ESTES BIEN ES TU COMPADRE, JUNITO TE MANDO SALUDOS A TI Y A LAS NENAS Y A YOSELINE ESTE ES EL E-MAIL DE MAMI QUE TE MANDA SALUDOS Y UN BESO, ESPERO QUE TODO TE ESTE SALIENDO BIEN Y PON TODO EN LAS MANOS DE DIOS PARA QUE VEA QUE TE VA A SALIR MEJOR, CUIDATE Y CUALQUIER COSITA ME LLAMAS. (Boca, yo tengo el número de teléfono para este hombre. - Jere) July 31 Hello Hiram... we will all miss you in san diego... good luck:) Mihael July 28 Hey Hiram, don't let being demoted down to triple a get you down. Use it as encouragement to hopefully get you where you want to be.You seem like a cool cat and I like your style of play. Best of luck in your future with the padres organization. - cameron July 25 Hiram, I just want to say that we are proud of your MLB accomplishments. You have a huge family following on the east coast from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maryland. Keep it going strong. Your Ponce Familia is proud of you! Ferdinand Bocachica July 20 Hiram, I'm bummed that you were designated for assignment. I hope you stay with the team. I thought you hussled and seem to have a lot of fun playing the game. As a Padre fan, I really enjoyed watching you play the game. I hope to see you back in the BIG's soon. Good luck. I know you have a lot of fans in San Diego, even after such a short stay. Matt Jackson July 20 Hiram, We are sad to hear the news but wanted to thank you for bringing such spark and excitment to the Padres ball club. We love the Padres and loved watching you play for them. We wish you the best of luck in your playing career and also hope that you get a chance again to play in San Diego! Best Wishes, Chris and Lauren McMullin July 19 I'm a lifelong Padres fan, and I was bummed to read the news that you had been DA'd. Like Bud Black said in the article this morning, you brought an element of speed to the club that it otherwise lacks. Nothing against Termel Sledge, but I would prefer to have your bat at the plate in a clutch situation, and your defense was great. Your batting average wasn't the greatest, but neither is Sledge's currently. I still feel that if they had given you a few more starts that you would have gotten gotten in a groove. I, like Buddy, hope you stay with the organization. Best of luck to you! Justin July 1 I
was at the game today-Sunday, July 1, 2007. I'm not really a Dodger fan
as much this year because I only know the names of 2 players. My
grandma (97) and daughter (18) are HUGE Dodger fans. I won tickets to
today's game through my local bowling alley and was witness to the
debauchery in Right field.
I enjoy seeing when former Dodger players come back to play their former team and today was no exception. I was appalled by the "greetings" you received from the "so-called" Dodger fans in Right field. I do know that there were a number of Padres fans in the stands and also in Right field. One of them caught the home run that Rafael Furcal hit. My daughter had a softball game this evening and once I had a chance to go on the computer I looked for and found this web site. I enjoyed reading about your background and your family. My family & I lived in Washington state for 2 & 1/2 years in Oak Harbor, on Whidbey Island because my husband was in the Navy and transferred there. It is SO beautiful. I wanted to let you know that not everyone can be rude like that and that some fans seemingly there to support the Dodgers DO NOT support the fans' actions. My husband is actually going to San Diego once a month as part of his ongoing commitment to the military and next time I will have to send him to Petco Park and see if I can get a jersey with your name on it. I would wear it proudly. I live near Six Flags Magic Mountain. Since you are a fairly new addition to the team it may take some time but I will keep looking online to see if anything becomes available. I hope you are able to read this and respond if you have some free time. Thank you, Denise June

Welcome to the Pads, Hiram. It has been a breath of fresh air to see a guy hustle, throw hard, run out ground balls, and be in every play. (Something I haven't seen since Pete Rose) I've followed you throughout your career, and my wife and I love watching you from the stands. Keep it up, and the Pads will find themselves in playoff contention, and hopefully, Towers will recognize your worth and sign you to a multi-year deal. On a side note, my family and friends had the privilege of meeting you and your family yesterday at a neighborhood outing. They said what a beautiful family you have and how personable you were. It's good to know that we not only got a splendid ball player, but a Major Leaguer who spends his day off before a home stand with his family at a pool party. We'll all be rooting for you from the right field stands on Friday night against the Sox. HIT ONE OUR WAY!!! Oh yeah... I'm also a certified chef and known to make the best pork chops in San Diego. Give me a shout. Peace and blessings on your new journey. We look forward to you being around for a long time. Peace and Blessings, Ryan June

"Hiram freaking Bocachica." Well, we’ve found him. Now if only anybody knew what on earth Jolbert Cabrera is doing with his life. If I told you two years ago that Hiram Bocachica would end up beating us in a game, I don’t think I could have kept a straight face. Also, what if I told you he has his own fan club? Yea.This was Game Two. Bocachica goes 2 for 4 with 2 Runs and a RBI. Geoff Blum had four total RBIs moving his season total to 8. Unbelievable." Hello Hiram, I am very happy to see that you're doing well. I first heard your name in 1994 when you were drafted by the Expos. In fact, I was the Expos' 17th round pick that same year. Needless to say, I am no longer in Baseball. In fact, my days in the sun ended in 1997 with the University of Alabama. I have kept up with your progess throughout the years and I've always respected how you handle yourself both on and off the field. Congratulations on all of your success with both Baseball and your family.Keep up the good work. Take care. Brent |
